Granite Countertops—Spotlight On Crazy Horse

In this blog, I wanted to spotlight the color, Crazy Horse, which is quarried in Brazil.

Crazy Horse Granite

Crazy Horse is a beautiful color with shades of brown, taupe, cream, gray and black. It is one of those colors that can have a lot going on, so you would want to make sure to hand-select your slabs. Large areas of quartz can be seen throughout, giving the stone character and depth. The color, Crazy horse , would make a wonderful granite island, or granite countertops for the kitchen. It would also make an interesting bar top, that your guests would be sure to comment on.

If you like shades of brown and cream, and like a stone with a great deal of character, you should definitely check out the color, Crazy Horse.

Tuesday, December 25th – Christmas Day (Closed)
Monday, December 31st – New Year’s Eve (Open)
Tuesday, January 1st – New Year’s Day (Closed)

In the spirit of the season, I wanted to wish you all Love, Hope, Joy and Peace this holiday season. I also wanted to share a poem I heard the other year, in a yoga class, as it touches on these virtues . The instructor was kind of enough to make me a copy.

Four Beautiful Sisters

There are many gifts that God in the Universe did release

among them four beautiful sisters, Love, Hope, Joy and Peace

Share with others as much love as you can, because

she rids the world of pain

as long as she’s powered by your good works, Hope

never in vain

and when your hope is realized, you’ll reap the

rewards of joy so kind

and when conflict and war surround your body,

search for peace within your mind

You have so much to offer this world, so many

wonderful things you can be, keep the four sisters

with you as you shape your destiny.

Recipe: Nut Goodie Bars

Here’s a favorite recipe to try for the holidays. My mother always made them for our family. They are easy to make and delicious.

Nut Goodie Bars

1 package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 package butterscotch chips
1 cup peanut butter
1 jar salted peanuts
2 large packages colored mini-marshmallows

In large pot, melt the chocolate chips, butterscotch chips and peanut butter over low heat, stirring constantly. When melted, remove from heat and cool slightly. Add the 2 packages of mini-marshmallows and peanuts. Spread in a large, greased jelly roll pan. Cool and cut into squares to serve.

If you like this recipe and want  to try others, make sure you check out our cookbook. They make great Christmas gifts!
